Brazilian Olympic silver medalist Ana Beatriz Correa (Bia) is coming to LOVB Madison Volleyball!
The middle blocker from Sorocaba, Brazil, brings a wealth of international and club success. She helped Brazil reach the gold medal match at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and won VNL silver medals in 2019 and 2021, earning Best Middle Blocker honors in 2019. In 2017, she and Brazil won World Grand Prix gold, again earning Best Middle Blocker.
Early in her career, she led the country’s U19 team to gold in 2009 and U21 squad to silver in 2011 and bronze in 2009.
In club play, she’s won three South American Club Championships and two Brazilian Cups, and in 2011/12, she led Sollys Nestlé/Osasco to the Brazilian Superliga title. She also earned Best Middle Blocker Honors in the 2019 South American Championships and 2017/18 Brazilian Superliga. From 2021-24, she played in Italy and Türkiye.
Bia is League One Volleyball’s 29th international athlete and second from Brazil, joining LOVB Houston's Key Alves. Bia and the rest of the LOVB Madison crew begin the LOVB Pro inaugural season on Friday, January 10, 2025, when they take on LOVB Austin.
