2026 March LOVB Athletes of the Month Presented by YETI

LOVB Staff

Each month, junior volleyball teams nationwide nominate players for the LOVB Athlete of the Month where one LOVB Pro is also nominated and selected by fellow teammates and staff. These athletes are chosen based on our monthly Whole Athlete Training theme.

March’s theme, “LOVB-ing Challenge,” is all about flipping the script. Pressure, mistakes, and tough moments aren’t problems but opportunities to grow. The best athletes don’t avoid challenges, they rise to meet them.

Throughout the month, athletes focused on showing up with purpose in the small moments — every drill, every rep, every serve — knowing that habits shape performance. You can’t control the ref, the opponent, or the outcome, but you can always control your thoughts, effort, attitude, and actions.

Anna Brossard - Club V
Nominated by Kealani Kukahiko - Club V South Director

Anna Brossard is a special athlete in our gym who truly embraces challenge and growth. She approaches pressure with curiosity and sees mistakes as opportunities to learn, which perfectly reflects this month’s theme. Anna lives out our club motto — ignite the curious, develop the committed, refine the obsessed. She coaches in our Academy programs, works the front desk, assists with our Jr. High feeder league, and still shows up every day to train and push herself with her team. Her willingness to serve others while continuing to challenge herself as an athlete makes her an incredible role model for the younger players in our gym and a great example of what a whole athlete looks like. Her work ethic, humility, and willingness to serve others make her an incredible role model in our gym, and she deserves this nomination. 💪🏐

She has come back to "finish the job" with the team she has led for 2 years earning back to back bids to USAV nationals. Although she won't be playing collegiate volleyball, she is as focused and driven as we have ever seen her. Recently Chloe has extended her competitive reach to positively engage other Rhythm teams within her training group in a more verbal manner which is out of character.

Chloe was a key contributor to the Spread the LOVB outreach as her team ran an on the court clinic for homeless children in our community. Her fierce competitive spirit is hidden by her stoic, calm demeanor and fun loving spirit which uplifts her teammates regardless of our playing scenario.

Chloe Carter empowers others to trust their training and their abilities even when doubts arise. As our captain, she has her team locked in on and off the court.

Emma Hassell - Houston Skyline BCS
Nominated by Madison Holle - Assistant Director BCS Skyline

What really stands out about Emma is her mindset. She loves the challenges of the game—the moments that demand focus and resilience. When things get tough, that’s when she shines the most. She’s the player who wants the ball, who wants the responsibility, and who brings relentless effort every single play. Her competitive spirit, combined with her passion for the game, makes her the type of teammate and competitor who elevates the level of play on the entire court. Her growth this season so far is off the charts because of her ability to be coachable and embrace mistakes as she has learned they are the pathway to improving her skills.

We love Emma, and we are so glad she is on our team! I hope that she knows how impactful she really is!

Harper Clinton - M1 Volleyball
Nominated by Sammie Skoog - Coach M1 15-Blue

Harper truly exemplifies what it means to welcome a challenge. She embraces them with determination and enthusiasm. Whether it’s pushing through a tough practice or game or facing a strong opponent, they see every obstacle as an opportunity to grow. She is a great leader that shows strength through this time.

Jaiden Walch - G3 Volleyball Club
Nominated by Hector Boirie - G3 Coach

Jaiden is a standout 17-year-old player and team captain whose competitive mindset drives her squad to new heights. With unshakeable confidence in high-pressure moments, she channels emotions masterfully—staying composed under fire while igniting her teammates' fire.  She is also an exceptional, supportive teammate at all times.

Off the court, her exemplary values shine through in leadership that fosters unity and resilience, making her my undeniable choice for Athlete of the Month.

Karina Da Silva - Reign Volleyball Club
Nominated by Bela l - Reign Head of Coaching

In high-stakes moments, she remains the calmest person in the game, setting the tone for the rest of the squad. She is the first to arrive and the last to leave, leading through action rather than just words. She directs play and provides constant encouragement, acting as a second coach on the pitch.

Madi Neal - Union Volleyball Club
Nominated by Terri Purichia - Union Club Director

Madi is a DAWG!  She loves to compete, and loves her teammates fiercely.  She is in the gym from open to close almost every day.  Madi comes after school and once her team practice is complete, she sticks around to play with the older kids.  Her parents coach the 18-1 team and Madi attends every single practice because she loves to jump in and play with them during the scrimmages.  NO challenge is too great for Madi.  She LOVES it so much.  There is no moment too big because she prepares herself better than nearly any athlete in our club!  She wants to be in the gym, and on the court every second that she can.  This WAT theme of LOVBing competition fits Madi to a "T" however, every thing that is good about the WAT program can be used to characterize Madi as a person, player, and teammate.  She has been quoted as saying "The gym is my happy place Coach P.  Can I just stay here with you?" and she MEANS it.  In addition, Madi is a very talented player! This summer she was selected 12 and under all American at AAU and just this week was awarded the Junior MVP of the UA Next Camp. Her talent is matched by her sheer love for the game and the joy she is to watch!!!

Megan Hodges - Tstreet Volleyball Club
Nominated by Megan Spurgin - Director of Operations and 18-1 Assistant Coach

Megan is a phenomenal, highly recruited athlete who has gone through a month that stretched her and challenged her physically and mentally as she prepares for her collegiate future. She had to fight through some injury and physical setbacks, and recently returned to the Boston JNQ where she finished playing such a standout game on the final day  in the gold pool. It's easy to be great when things are good - much harder when things are difficult. She showed resilience, latched onto what she could control and breathed through the challenge. Tstreet is proud of her strength and work through the physical obstacles. She has really encompassed the theme of the month - We LOVB Challenge.

Quinn Chaddock - Maverick Volleyball
Nominated by Liddia Nie - Maverick Club Director

Quinn joined our team this season without knowing anyone, stepping into a completely new environment with confidence and a willingness to grow. From the very beginning, she embraced the challenge and quickly became an important part of our group. Her work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to compete at a high level have made a real impact on the court.

Beyond her performance, Quinn has built strong relationships with her teammates and has become a great friend and supportive presence within the team. She consistently approaches high level competition head on, showing resilience, determination, and a drive to keep improving. Quinn embodies exactly what it means to love the challenge, and our team is stronger because she is part of it.
