League One Volleyball (LOVB) — the largest community in youth volleyball and the nation’s first professional league built from the club up — today announced Dani Busboom Kelly, head coach of Nebraska Volleyball and one of the sport’s most influential leaders, has officially joined the organization as an ambassador for LOVB Nebraska.
Busboom Kelly’s partnership with LOVB Nebraska reflects a shared commitment to elevating volleyball at every level, from young athletes taking their first swings to the future of professional play in the United States. As a national champion, accomplished coach, and lifelong advocate for volleyball, her experience brings invaluable insight as LOVB Nebraska continues expanding its community-driven pathway.
“Volleyball has always been at the heart of Nebraska, and I am incredibly honored to support LOVB Nebraska as they continue building something special here,” said Busboom Kelly. “This is a community that shaped me, inspired me, and believed in the power of this sport long before the rest of the country caught up. Being able to pour back into the next generation, while helping grow professional volleyball in my home state, is something I’m truly grateful for.”
In her role as ambassador, Busboom Kelly will support LOVB Nebraska’s mission through community engagement, athlete development initiatives, and efforts to strengthen the state’s rapidly growing volleyball ecosystem. Nebraska’s volleyball community is among the strongest and most devoted in the nation, and with this partnership, LOVB Nebraska will be able to further deepen the connection between the sport’s most passionate fans and the next generation of players.
“Dani is a tremendous leader and an example of what makes volleyball in Nebraska so special,” said Kirsten Bernthal Booth, President of Business Operations for LOVB Nebraska. “Her experience, integrity, and connections throughout our state will be invaluable as we continue to elevate professional volleyball in Nebraska and across the country. We are so excited to have her as an ambassador of LOVB Nebraska.”
LOVB Nebraska is dedicated to building a long-term, athlete-focused structure that includes youth clubs, local events, community programming, and an elite professional team. Adding Busboom Kelly amplifies that vision and reinforces Nebraska’s standing as a national epicenter for the sport.
LOVB Nebraska will kick off season two at Baxter Arena in Omaha on Sunday, January 11th, against LOVB Houston. Fans will enjoy the home opener and first serve with a special appearance from Dani Busboom Kelly, joining in her new role as an ambassador for LOVB Nebraska.
