LOVB was strongly represented on the international stage this month as LOVB Club junior athletes and coaches took part in the 2025 U.S. U17 Girls and Boys National Teams, competing at the NORCECA Continental Championships in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
The U.S. U17 Girls Delivered a Historic Gold-Medal Debut at the NORCECA U17 Continental Championship in San José, Costa Rica
In their first appearance, the U.S. Girls U17 National Team made history by going undefeated and winning gold without dropping a single set throughout the tournament.
LOVB Austin Assistant Coach Tayyiba Haneef-Park (U17 Head Coach) and SC Rockstar Coach Amir Lugo-Rodriguez (U17 Assistant Coach) brought invaluable leadership and experience to the staff, helping guide the team through their dominant performance.
In the championship match against Mexico, A5’s middle blocker Madison Middleton had four points on three kills and one block.
The U.S. U17 Boys Win Bronze at the NORCECA U17 Continental Championship in Managua, Nicaragua
The U.S. Boys U17 National Team defeated Mexico to secure the bronze medal at the 2025 NORCECA U17 Continental Championship.
Team Rockstar Coach Brandon Taliaferro led the U.S. squad as Head Coach. The roster featured several LOVB Club athletes:
- Logan Flores (OH, Team Rockstar)
- Sid Saikanth (OH, Austin Juniors)
- Jackson Vanderpool (MB, Aspire) - alternate
