We are thrilled to have M1 Volleyball join the LOVB family and be part of our growing network of top-tier clubs!
Minnesota One Volleyball, commonly known as Mizuno M1 Volleyball, has been a premier junior volleyball club and training program in the Twin Cities/North Country Region since 1998. With a strong reputation for developing athletes from beginner to elite levels, M1 is recognized as an elite training program for future collegiate volleyball players. The club prioritizes high-level skill development, focusing on proper technique and long-term player growth. Offering Junior Olympic club teams, specialized training programs, leagues, camps, private lessons, and regional tournaments, M1 provides a comprehensive volleyball experience designed to enhance both individual and team success.
Under the leadership of Club Director Doug Bergman, a highly experienced coach with over three decades in the sport, M1 fosters a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork. Bergman, who previously coached at Bloomington Jefferson and Lakeville North, has a history of building championship-caliber teams. M1’s philosophy centers on quality coaching, competitive play, and athlete development, ensuring players gain valuable experience while embracing responsibility, motivation, and sportsmanship. While playing time is not guaranteed, all players receive opportunities to contribute, reinforcing M1’s commitment to long-term skill progression and overall athletic growth.
A note from M1:
“At M1 Volleyball we are more than just a team - we are a family. We strive to provide high-level training in a positive, organized and respectful environment. Our "players first" mentality ensures that every athlete feels welcomed, seen and supported. We believe in treating people well, fostering a culture where kids are happy, coaches form lasting friendships, and everyone feels at home. When you step into our gym, you're not just joining a club - you're becoming part of something special.
We are excited to join LOVB and become part of their growing network of clubs. We look forward to the ability to share ideas with other clubs and use the expanded resources and opportunities LOVB offers to make our club even better for our coaches, athletes and their families.”
