Achievements and accolades
This is a selfie of my fiance (Matthew West) and me at the Trevi Fountain at 3 am in Rome over Christmas break in 2019. This was such a fun trip but it took us two hours to find our way home after this because both of our phones had died. I laughed, I cried, and Matt figured it out in the end. That pretty much sums it up as far as explaining us goes.
I was destined to play volleyball and perhaps even more destined to have strong quads from the very beginning.
My group of friends dressed up as "Things" from Cat in the Hat our Senior year at Stanford. Very smart people, I promise. People who helped me grow and made me laugh through some of the more daunting times at college.
My parents and I in Cortina, Italy this winter. They have visited me all over the world and have no idea how grateful I am. My dad must ask 100 questions and my mom must rearrange my entire house, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Kelsey and I at Carnevale in Venice this February! I love a chance to dress in theme (as you may notice) and Kelsey makes me laugh all day long. Volleyball has brought me to so many places and situations that I never even thought to dream of until they were right in front of me: Oktoberfest in Munich, the highest point of Europe in Switzerland, a stunt double gig in a movie filmed in China, Sixman in Manhattan, Guatemala where I bought a purse off the street vendors that I still use today. And now it's bringing me home!
My brother, Logan, and my sister, Avery, and I dressed up for Halloween in...2003? I'm the eldest daughter in my family and it was generally like this photo: goofy, a little bit frazzled, and very cute. My mom did my vampire makeup. I can give you her number if you want to book an appointment.

A setter from Apex, North Carolina, Madi was a three-time All-American at Stanford, where she finished her career with the second-most assists in program history. She played professionally overseas at top clubs for eight years before returning to the U.S. In 2018, she led Dresdner SC 1898 to a German Cup title and Allianz MTV Stuttgart to a Bundesliga title a year later. In 2021, she was named French Saforelle Power 6 Best Setter after leading ASPTT Mulhouse Volley-Ball to league and French Cup championships, and, during the 2023/24 season, she helped Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano win the Champions League, Italy’s Serie A1, the Italian Cup and the Italian Supercup. Madi represented the U.S. on the Youth National Team, where she won gold at the 2010 U19 NORCECA Championship, again earning Best Setter honors.
